Windsor Engineering Limited purchased an existing building and part of our brief was to raise the centre bay 5.5M higher than what was originally there.

The overall tonnage of the building was 35 tonne. We lifted the building in two parts, the first four bays at a time. Lifting the building had to work with military precision with a gang of 2 on each column. The screw jacks were all interlinked together so when one was lifted they all lifted.

Lifting each section/bay took no more than 2 hrs once the process started. The advantage of this is that the contractor did not have to remove the roof cladding which saved time & money within a tight timeframe.
